FIRST PLACE – DOMINIC NGUYEN CCHS

Houston, TX – On Saturday, April 1st, 2017, the Office of U.S. Rep. Brian Babin (TX-36) hosted an awards ceremony at the Crosby Community Center to announce the winners and honor those students who participated in the 36th Congressional District’s 2017 Congressional Art Competition. This year’s competition, which included 80 total entries from high school students across the district, followed the theme of “The Great Outdoors of TX-36.” First place was awarded to Dominic Nguyen of Clear Creek High School for his painting of the Battleship Texas, which will now be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for an entire year.
