German students participated in the regional German culture and language competition ” Houstonfest” last Saturday.

Elida Met-Hoxha placed 1st  in prose reading and 5th in sight reading of a German text.

Margaret McCarty also placed 1st in digital logo design. Her logo will be used for all digital and print materials including the website for next year’s contest.

Our Polka band won first place as well. The following students are members of the Polka band: Kaeli Phillips, Joshua Oh, Cory Helton,Kevin Nickl,Chloe Crepinsek, Everett Cunningham, and Victoria Eaton.

These students will compete at the Texas State German contest in San Marcos on February 24,2018.
