The freshmen Emma Tyler and Hayden Rhinehart went undefeated in prelims and placed third overall in Novice Public Forum.

Seniors Kelli Gilliam and Alisha Sood were semi-finalists in Foreign Extemp.

Junior Sunny Wang was a semifinalist in Domestic Extemp and received one state point. She was also a semi-finalist in Original Oratory.

Seniors Peyton Linder and Geena Timmerman placed fifth in Duo Interpretation and received 1 more state point towards their qualification. They were both semi-finalists in Prose as well.

Mercedes Holmes placed fourth in Informative Speaking and received 2 state points towards here qualification.

The Big Cat Scott Lindberg was the Congressional Debate champion and his finished his state qualification for March in only three tournaments.

Baylor University will be visiting the College Center on Wednesday, October 25 during 3rd period and The University of Tulsa on Friday, October 27 during 2nd period. College Visit Information #2: 
The University of Texas at Austin is hosting a Meet UT Night at Clear Lake High School auditorium next Tuesday on October 24th, 2017 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Jane Vo will provide a formal presentation to all students and parents who attend regarding our admissions process and the next steps students should do after their application is complete. We invite any Seniors who may have started an application for UT Austin or still undecided on whether or not to apply and any Juniors who want to get an early start at exploring our requirements and get informed of the current changes we have made for next year’s application cycle. We currently have space available and students are able to register here

Boys Basketball Tryouts:Are you interested in trying out for the Wildcat Boy’s Basketball team? Tryouts will be held on October 25-27 at 5:45 in the morning. Anyone wishing to try out for the team must have a current physical on file. Please bring athletic gear and basketball shoes to tryouts and make plans to be there for all three days.
