Debate

Sophomore Emma Tyler continues her winning streak of going 3-1 in preliminary rounds but missing going to the elimination rounds by 1 speaker point. Wish her luck this weekend as she tries to finish her state qualification at Clear Springs. On a high note after it was finalized, Sophomore Meghan Lindquist places 5th in Humorous Interpretation, but more importantly she gets the last two state points she needs for state qualification.

Boys Track

Friday the boys track team kicked off the season by finishing 4th overall at the Kethan Relays in Deer Park. The boys battled brutal conditions and had several great performances.

The 4×100 meter relay team of King Ketchum, Rayfield Conley, Konner Richardson, and Cody Spears took home the gold medal.  King Ketchum finished 3rd in the 100 meter dash.  Cody Spears took 2nd in the 200m dash while Rayfield Conley took 5th.  Preston Porter finished 5th in both the mile run and 800m run.  Kingston Griffin medaled in both hurdle events taking silver in the 110’s and bronze in the 300’s.  Joey Hardcastle finished 4th in the shot put while Collin McKinney finished 4th in the discus.  Rayfield Conley took silver in the High Jump and Konner Richardson took bronze.

Great job wildcats.

Girls track

The Varsity Girls Track Team competed at the Kethan Relays Deer Park Track Meet this past Friday and had great performances!
