The Cat Corner has become a big part of every Wildcats daily routine, not only as somewhere to get food and drinks but as somewhere to meet friends. Cat Corner staff is made up of students, and they are always prioritizing making Cat Corner feel like family for all students and staff.
Cat Corner is the product of many students brainstorming, discussing, and collaborating, to create the beloved Cat Corner we now have. These students take their free time at school to help students find what they need, to restock for a variety of options, and always have a smile on their face to create a welcoming atmosphere while doing so.
“The Cat Corner is like a convenience store on campus that we try to make as inviting as possible” Travis Golden, the Cat Corner teacher sponsor, said.
Many students go there to get lunch and snacks in between classes. They love having a place to go for snacks instead of the lunch line. Some students even go there just to hang out and have chats. It is a place that gives students a chance to meet new people and talk to friends between classes.
“It’s a lot of fun, all of its ideas are pitched by us and collaborated into one thing” Jared Remington (12) said.
Many students go to Cat Corner for lunch and in between classes, and the staff are always so nice. They love getting to know all the different students here at Clear Creek. The staff make The Cat Corner feel welcoming and bright with great music, sweet smiles, and tons of fun.
“Community is top priority for us” Ruben Malone (12) said.
Something you can always count on is them joking around, they are always coming up with ways to try and make people laugh. Sometimes, even if they are not even trying, it is just their personalities. The staff are always so energetic and enthusiastic throughout the day and always so fun to talk to. The Cat Corner is a place to make memories, not just get a snack.
“The community it builds, and the family like environment” Pierce Tyler (12) said.
Now, as said before, many students go to the cat corner so it gets busy for the staff. Rushes can last anywhere from 5 minutes to all of lunch. Despite this, the staff never complain though and they always help with positive attitudes.
“Sometimes, but it’s not overwhelming unless it’s like an open school event and everyone is coming like teachers, parents and students,” Remington said.
The Cat Corner is a place to make friends, memories and learn. It’s a fun filled place where students can go for snacks, drinks, or just a laugh. It is never a dull moment with the Wildcats in the Cat Corner.
