For the class of 2026, seniors are finally receiving emails that will determine the rest of their lives. These students have been working tremendously to reach the goal of applying to some of the most prestigious colleges around.
Kaitlyn Russell is a senior and soon-to-be graduate of Clear Creek High School. She has been accepted into Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. “Getting into Lynn University feels like such a huge win, especially since I’ve been dreaming about that beautiful, hands-on campus” Russell said
Lynn provides students with hands-on learning and 24/7 tutoring and teaching throughout the day. For Kaitlyn, the transition from Houston to Florida will be a step, as she leaves the ones she loves to pursue her dream career in the art of journalism. This all can seem intimidating, but she is ready for a change in scenery. Classes at Lynn use a block method where Students take one or two classes at a time. This creates less stress and provides “me time” for incoming students. Russell’s planned major is journalism, and she is planning to jump straight into The Newsroom at IPulse to start building her portfolio starting day one on campus.
“Looking back on my junior year, I’m glad I stayed on top of things with my counselor, as I always advise others to do—it made the whole process significantly less stressful,” Russell said.
Now that she is officially a fighting knight, the next chapter of her book has begun.
Azhmeer Jesani, another Creek senior, has been accepted into Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
While Azhmeer is very excited for the diverse perspectives and global tapestries of life at Harvard, her acknowledges that moving away will be difficult. Jesani will be pursuing a concurrent Master’s Degree in Physics, where he will be able to contribute to the next generation of quantum technology. He is ready and excited to make an impact in the world of science.
“I aim to bring the same focused dedication I gave to the National Honor Society and Science Fair to Harvard’s campus, ensuring that my contributions to the university are both meaningful and impactful,” Jesani said.
