There are 53 clubs at Clear Creek High School, and there is a clear-cut choice for the best club to join. Of course, it’s the one, the only….Dungeons and Dragons club!
Dungeons and Dragons (aka D&D) is a tabletop roleplaying game released in the 1970’s. It revolves around a group of players led by a dungeon master. The dungeon master creates the world in which the game takes place, and controls the gameplay.
It can be difficult to describe the game in broad terms, because the world, the story, and even the rules of the game can be entirely different each time you play. The best, and most fun, way to learn the game is to jump in and play!
Gabriel Turner (9) says, “It is fun and interactive while also allowing me to make new friends.”
The club meets Mrs. Swanson’s room every Wednesday after school and is very beginner friendly. Both of the active games going on in the club encourage new players to join their adventures, even if you know nothing about the game.
The Dungeons and Dragons Club is an amazing place for new players and more experienced players alike. Whether you are interested in learning the game or have been playing for years, come to a meeting and join in. It is a great way to have fun and make new friends.
